Inner Mongolia Initiates Level Four Emergency Response for Forest and Grassland Fires

 On August 9, reporters learned from the Office of the Forest and Grassland Fire Prevention and Control Command of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region that as of now, 15 fires have occurred in the Greater Hinggan Mountains forest area in Inner Mongolia, with 10 contained and 5 actively being extinguished. A total of 4,916 people have been deployed to various fire sites, including 1,020 from the Inner Mongolia Forest Fire Rescue Team.

The Office of the Forest and Grassland Fire Prevention and Control Command of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region initiated a level four emergency response for forest and grassland fires at 7 am on August 8. The Office of the National Forest and Grassland Fire Prevention and Control Command also initiated a level four emergency response for forest and grassland fires at 5 pm on August 8.
