Olympic champion Wang Meng's 4.45 million shares have been frozen. Previously, there were rumors that she was taken away for investigation. A friend vouched for her innocence, stating: "The rumors are very unreliable."

On August 9th, according to Zhongxin Jingwei news, the Tianyan Check App displayed that recently, former short track speed skating national team member Wang Meng has a new share freeze notice. The shares were executed by Wando Sports Culture Communication (Beijing) Co., Ltd., with the frozen share amounting to 4.45 million RMB. The freeze period is from July 19, 2023, to July 18, 2026.

Wando Sports Culture Communication (Beijing) Co., Ltd. was established in March 2022, with Xiao Yao as the legal representative. The registered capital is 5 million RMB, and the business scope includes sports agent services, individual internet live streaming services, sports event planning, etc. Shareholder information shows that the company is jointly held by Wang Meng, Brothers and Sisters Culture Communication (Beijing) Partnership (Limited Partnership), and Beijing Mo Ming Sports Culture Co., Ltd., with Wang Meng holding 89% of the shares and a subscribed capital amount of 4.45 million RMB.

Recently, negative rumors about Wang Meng have been continuous. Previously, there was a disclosure that a "former world champion, Olympic gold medalist was taken away for investigation." As the gold medalist in women's 500m short track speed skating at the Turin Winter Olympics, Wang Meng was also caught in the crossfire.

Regarding the rumors about Wang Meng, sports journalist Zhang Bin debunked them on August 7th, saying: "Some of the recent rumors about Wang Meng are very unreliable. I'll share some absolutely reliable information that I know: in the past four or five days, whether in WeChat Moments or private chats, Wang Meng and I have had a lot of interaction, and we've been discussing the flood rescue situation together. Last weekend, many people saw her live broadcast, and there are videos of fans and friends picking her up at Hangzhou Airport. She has rarely updated her Weibo and Moments recently, and from what I understand, it is because she needs to take care of her family. For every middle-aged person, the health of their family is always the top priority in life.

Not believing or spreading rumors is the best course of action. Any rumor may cause significant trouble to the person involved. Self-media should not abandon their bottom line for traffic."

Wang Meng also updated her social media multiple times on August 8th, sharing her daily life and refuting the rumors.
